CHS Library Mission Statement:
The CHS library is an informational and exploratory center where students are free to learn, create, and share information and where teachers and librarian can collaborate toward the ultimate goal of student success.
This library seeks to meet the needs of the school community by providing the best resources, supporting the curriculum in every instructional area, and accommodating the informational needs of the students and staff of Central High School.
The Library hosts a book club each 9-weeks in the library during lunch.
Students vote on the book!
Physical books will be available for check out in the library, or see the eBook library to checkout the ebook or audiobook.
Writer’s Club is Central High School’s Creative Writing Club. We meet every other Friday in the Library at lunch.
Semester 1 Meeting Dates
Each year, students are challenged to read 10 of the year’s Tayshas award books.
If they meet the challenge, we go to lunch in April off campus to celebrate and talk about all the great books we read!
After you read a book, see Ms. Curry so she can document it and give you a star on your punch card.
The list is expansive and covers a wide range of genres. There is something for everyone on the Tayshas list.
The deadline for this challenge is April 2.
