Central FFA is excited to participate in the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child Shoebox project that allows children from around the world to experience the excitement of what may be their only Christmas gift!

FFA members are encouraged to participate by packing a shoebox and bringing it to the Ag. Office for collection!

If you have never packed a shoebox, see below for guidance!

ALL SHOEBOXES MUST BE TURNED IN TO THE AG. OFFICE BY FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 17!

How to Pack a Shoebox

  • Find a Shoebox
    • Start with an average-size cardboard or plastic shoebox. If you want to wrap it, cover the box and lid separately. These sturdy options hold up well and can be lasting gifts in themselves for children to store cherished items.
  • Get Your Label
    • See an advisor for your label! Whichever you choose, use the label to indicate on your shoebox whether it was packed for a boy or girl and which age category: 2–4, 5–9, or 10–14.
  • Fill with Gifts!
    • Select a medium to large "wow" item such as a soccer ball with pump or stuffed animal, then fill with other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies. Don’t forget to also include a personal note and photo—sometimes these are the child's favorite things to receive! Check out a list of gift suggestions here!
  • Donate $10
    • A donation of $10 per box is critical to cover shipping and other project costs. Cash is best to go with your shoebox!
  • Drop Off!
    • Bring your shoebox to your student's campus office, or directly to the Ag. Office no later than Nov. 17!
